This is the latest release of a custom module that calls Facebook's Like Box plug in.  This module allows you to place your likebox anywhere on your joomla site and lets you set height, width, scrolling, color scheme and which elements to display. 

NOTE: Due to a facebook bug (http://bugs.developers.facebook.net/show_bug.cgi?id=17873) ,The Like box does not currently work for groups.  Hoping that this will be resolved soon.  In the mean time it works fine for facebook pages.

Instructions:

Install the module through your Joomla administrator panel.

Add a module and select "Facebook Like Box" module

Set the module parameters above to specify width and hight of like box, color scheme, and whether to show or hide faces, header and stream as follows:

facebook page or group id: This should be the id of your facebook page or group. 

For a facebook page you will find this id in the url for your page.  It is the number at the end (eg. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mach-Design-Web-Solutions-Limited/134174643291295) 

For a facebook group you will also find this id in the url for your group.  It is the number after gid= (eg.

width: width of facebook like box

height: height of facebook like box

color scheme: The facebook plugin has two options light or dark

Show faces: Select Yes to display faces of those who like your page and no to hide

Show stream: Select Yes to display stream No to hide.

Show Header: Select Yes to display 'Find us on Facebook' header on top
